Head of Renewable Energy Research, Statoil-Hydro

Finn Gunnar Nielsen is Chief Researcher, field development technology, Professor in marine technology, Norwegian university of science and technology (NTNU).
Dr. ing. marine hydrodynamics, NTNU 1980. Has mainly worked within R&D mostly within Norsk Hydro, now StatoilHydro. Has been involved in several major offshore oil and gas projects. Headed the R&D activity resulting the floating offshore wind turbine, Hywind. Teaching "marine operations" at NTNU.
